I’m going through a particularly hard time financially. This blog post is designed to encourage you but also to remind me of some of my riches.
“Born With” Rights
I am so thankful that I live in a country in which our basic human rights are recognized. Among them is freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
I can see beauty.

Wonderful things
And then there are friends and family…just a few here
AND SO MANY MORE!
MORE RICHES
Great Singers and musicians, I’ve discovered in the last decade.
- Chooka Parker: great improvisational piano player from Australia http://www.chookaparkermusic.com
- Tokio Myers: a very innovative pianist from Great Britain http://www.tokiomyer.com
- Jason Swanson: a great guitarist from Tulsa, OK. http://www.jasonswansonmusic.com
- Dami Im: a wonderful vocalist from Australia via Korea. http://www.damiim.com
- Leona Lewis, Louisa Johnson, Karise Eden, and many more.
Of course being SOOOO Old, I have been exposed to the music of the sixties onward…some junk, but a lot of GREAT music.
I’m also thankful for the diversity of great FOOD in this country, in my town. I’m an equal opportunity eater.
You know, I think I’m rich. I’m certainly feeling better.
I haven’t even mentioned all our electronic toys and conveniences.
And as a Christian, I have even more riches
- A covenant with a loving God
- A community of faith that cares
- A new life in Christ that gives me a great freedom…the ability to do good.
- AND eternal life

Blessings to you. Be happy, the alternative sucks. “Sucks” is a technical term that means NOT SO GOOD Plus.
We do have a lot to be thankful for. Thanks for reminding us!
