Rich in Experiences

Riches are often counted in money and material goods. Don’t get me wrong.  I like to have money and stuff. But there are other kinds of riches. I, for one, am rich in experiences. I enjoy so many good memories. Today I’ll share some with you.

New Orleans

I remember my first visit to New Orleans as a great experience, both educational and entertaining. The food was incredible. The music was great. I was struck by the architecture. The buildings reflect the history of the city. Modern buildings tower over older buildings reflecting French and Spanish influences.

I fell in love with the variety. As I was walking down the narrow streets of the French Quarter great music and great food smells drifted across my senses. A colorful variety of people were in abundance. It was quite a place.

Seattle, Washington

Seattle was another place full of fun memories. Seattle is the home of the Space Needle and Pike Place Market among many great other places.

The Space Needle, seen above, has a restaurant at the top that rotates 360 degrees. It affords incredible views of the Puget Sound, Seattle, even the distance mountains. The University district was full of shops of all varieties…including many ethnic restaurants. The Pike Place Market was also a great place to visit. See the guy throwing the fish in the above picture. As I walked through the market a very large fish sailed over my head, part of the show.

I used the ferry boats like the one pictured above. I really liked them. They had places you could park your car, if you had one. They had eating places and other places to rest and visit…or you could go outside and enjoy the trip. The Puget Sound and the surrounding county side was gorgeous.

My memories are part of my life’s riches. I’m so grateful and looking forward to more great adventures, more riches. I hope you appreciate yours too.
